Earlier this year, tornadoes tore through several Kentucky towns, including ours and those surrounding us. Luckily, we weren't directly affected but one of our good friends was. His home was spared but the tornado tore up his pond, leaving it an empty mud hole. As an avid fisher, this broke his heart. As soon as the storms had passed, he started searching for a way to get his pond back.
To reconstruct his pond, he needed a lot of water. Their is a great company in our town that sells and rents used fire trucks and tanks. He simply rented one from them and was able to refill his pond with water! It was a miracle how simple and quick it was to get the truck and rebuild his pond, he did it in only one day.
He's now working on repopulating his pond with fish. Without the tank company, who knows when he would have been able to get his pond back. I think he would have been completely lost because his pond is so important to him and he wouldn't have been able to refill it!
There are a number of things a tank or truck can be useful for so it's great to know where you can get one when you need it. Our friend is incredibly thankful to the company he was able to rent his truck from!
