Everyone has their share of plumbing problems but when it happens to me, I feel like it's the end of the world! The wildest things happen in our household and luckily, we always have a trusty plumber on call to fix our crazy mistakes. Here's just one of many plumbing accidents we've had over the years.
I've been told that bathtubs are supposed to be extremely strong; that's why they tell you to get in one if there's a tornado! It seems that the last bathtub we had was the minority. One day, I got done taking a quick shower and there was water all over our bathroom floor. For some reason, I was silly enough to brush it off, thinking I had just left the curtain open a bit and the water had spilled out. Being as we have two bathrooms, no one used the one that I had until I got in the next morning to get ready. I took a longer shower this time and when I got out, our bathroom floor might as well have been a pool!
I was the only one home so I start calling everyone, telling them what a mess there was and asking what I was supposed to do! When the rest of the family got home, everyone tried to figure out what the problem was and no one could.
Finally, when I stepped in the shower again to see if anything on the inside looked out of place, I realized their seemed to be a thin line near the drain of the shower. It wasn't like I could simply flip the tub over and see what was happening underneath so once again, we made a call to the plumber.
The plumber knew what the problem was almost immediately, making me feel silly! Somehow, a bathtub had cracked and water was leaking out the bottom of it! We had a huge mess to clean up after that and of course, we needed to get a brand new tub and have our plumber hook everything up. Still, at least we had him on our side!
This is a sponsored post for Rotorooter, however, all the points and views are my own.
