I know first hand how hard it is to get a job these days. I can't tell you how many people I know who are very smart and kind yet unemployed! The problem seems to be that they really have no work experience, training or skills to add to their resume that will fit the job they're applying for. An easy way to buff up your resume so you won't have this problem is to take some computer and Final Cut Pro courses.
Almost all jobs (with the exception of hospitality and customer service occupations) make use of various computer programs. I'm not talking about Microsoft Word, I mean more in depth programs for things like software editing. These programs, such as Final Cut Pro, are not hard to learn to as long as you have a good course to teach you. Many people don't utilize courses for these programs either because they don't know how important it is or they just think it's to hard! This is just not true.
These programs can actually be very fun to use once you get the hang of them. Not only would you be able to use them in a work setting but in a personal setting since they're actually quite enjoyable to use. Once you complete a course and figure out how to use a computer program, you can add that skill to your resume! It's a big thing for hiring managers to see because they can put you in a position using that computer program without having to put you through training. This is great for them because they'll save money and you will get a (quite nicely-paying) job.
If you're struggling to get a job, consider taking a course to learn a new computer program. It will look great on your resume and will set you apart from other applicants as well as open you up to more positions you wouldn't be applicable for before! On top of that, you can even make use of these programs in your personal life - who knows, you may take a serious liking to software editing!
