My number one tip when people are buying a new car is that they pick a used one (it's easy to find Used Cars in MA). There are a number of reasons why you should go with a used car but the biggest one is obviously price!

 

You can purchase a used car for a fraction of the cost (on average 5%-10%) of the price of a brand new one. That's a ton of money to be saved! With a couple thousand bucks, you can have yourself a car in no time. This is great because you don't have to add another bill to your budget each and every month. Insurance alone will run you $100+ and adding another $400 car payment in is $500 extra that you'll need to find each and every month. With a used car, you can easily get in and get out. It's a quick, one time deal and you don't have to worry about coming up with a ton of extra money.

 

Another great thing about buying a used car is that it can be a quick purchase. Like mentioned above, you don't have to continuously pay on it every month. Once you've got it, it's yours and you don't have to worry! On top of that, you don't have to struggle to be approved for a loan. As long as you have the money ready, you can get that car!

 

Now, I know a lot of people worry that used cars might have problems. Just about everyone I know has purchased at least one used car and I've heard very few problems from people who bought them from reputable dealers. My uncle, for example, has only ever bought used cars. He's owned two separate cars that lasted him 10 years with no abnormal issues! As long as you buy from a dealer who has a good reputation, you shouldn't be worried.

 

These days there's just not enough money to buy a new $20,000 car. Even if there was, why would you when you can get a used version for 10% of that? Purchasing a used car is the smart way to go, it's the most economical choice and you can get it done quickly and easily!
