A Comparison: Ipod Touch 5th Generaton + Ipod Touch 4th Generation

Price: At Wal-Mart, a 16gb 4th Gen will set you back about $190 while the 5th Gen 32 gb. is nearly $100 more, at $280. You can also upgrade your 4th gen to a 32 for $60 more, bringing the total difference to $30.

Color: The color selection is different between the 4th an 5th Gen. The 4th Gen ony comes in white and black, while th 5th Gen. comes in 5 different colors. If you're going to have a case on it, which most people do, it wouldn't make much since to pick the 5th Gen just for th color.

Camera: The 4th Gen camera is 720p while the 5th is upgraded to 1080p. I can actually tell a difference in the quality of each so if you plan on using your camera a lot, you might want to go with the 5th Gen!

Siri: The 5th Gen has Siri while the 4th Gen doesn't. While Siri seems like a very cool thing, make sure to try it out and see if you like it before buying. Also consider just how useful it would be to you!

Screen: The screen on the 5th gen is .5 inch bigger. It's not a whole lot of difference but it can be more useful when browsing the web and viewing photos.

If you plan on filling your iPod with a ton of music, photos, apps, etc. and taking many photos, the 5th Gen 32gb is probably the best choice for you. If you're going to mainly use your touch for music and web browsing, stick to the 16 gb 4th Gen. It's nearly $100 cheaper and should be good enough for what you want!
