Getting a Great Shave - On a Budget

Most men look best with a nice, fresh, clean-shaven look. It's true that the best way to get this is with a top-notch straight razor but some higher end razors can cost hundreds of dollars! Here are a few ways to get that perfect shave without spending too much.

1. Invest in a Reasonably Priced Straight Razor
You can get a lower-end, yet still good quality straight razor for around $100. It may seem like a lot but as long as you take good care of your razor, it can last for years! It will give you more control over your movements helping you get a closer shave than you would with a disposable.

To keep your facial hair looking nice, you have to keep your skin in good shape. Something as simple as moisturizing after you shave or using a moisturizing shaving cream/soap can make a big difference in the way your skin looks and feels. A clean shave means nothing if you have razor bumps covering your face!

3. Pick the Right Shaving Cream, Bar or Soap
It's incredibly important to prep your skin with some kind of soap before shaving and it all depends on your particular skin type and preferences. Creams are easy to use but bars may help to soften the hair more. Try out a couple of different brands and forms of shaving soap to see which works best with your skin!

You don't have to spend an entire paycheck on shaving supplies to have a clean look. It's all about the details like the cream and skincare you use so try out some new techniques and products to find your favorite combination!

This is a sponsored post for The Art of Shaving, however, all the
points and views are my own.
