The Easy Way to File For Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy struggles vary greatly. A majority of people are hurting for cash in these trying times and it's not uncommon to be filing for bankruptcy. My sister actually did so herself recently. The experience seemed to go pretty well for her and she tells me she owes it all to her attorney. She recommends anyone struggling with bankruptcy to hire a reputable attorney like Kirkpatrick & Associates to handle their case.

My sister knew nothing about bankruptcy when she first decided she was interested in filing. All she knew was that she had a lot of debt weighing her down and she wanted to be rid of it. That's about as much as most people know when they decide they want to file - Get rid of the debt! While a bankruptcy attorney is happy to help you get rid of your debt, it's not as simple as "here's my debt, erase it!". There are a lot of pieces to the bankruptcy puzzle. Fortunately, you don't have to find them all because an attorney will do it for you!

For example, all he asked of my sister was how much she thought she owed and why she wanted to file. She estimated around 10,000 (she was way off) and she wanted to file because her debt was weighing her down in all aspects of her life. She was tired of all of the phone calls and letters telling her she owed people money. Her attorney took the little information she gave her and came up with a plan.

He figured out she owed at least double of what she estimated. He showed her everyone she owed and how much she owed each person and it seemed to even out to her. At the next meeting they had, he let her know he had knocked off a couple thousand from her overall debt owed! At the third meeting, he showed her the final amount he had come up with (after negotiating with a few people) and it was still a high number but way below what it had started at. The two of them worked out a plan for her filing and repayment.

Don't get me wrong, bankruptcy is not a treat. In some situations, though, it's the only option and in many it's the best option. A bankruptcy attorney can help you get a lot of that debt off your back and help you better your financial situation. Ask my sister - With a good attorney, it's not as bad as it may sound!

This is a sponsored post however, all the points and views are my own.
