Family Dinner Under $5: Italian

Somedays, we don't want to shell out a bunch of cash for dinner and other days, we simply can't! After all of the bills are paid, their may not be quite enough left over for groceries. A cheap meal to purchase for tougher times is italian! It can be made using only THREE ingredients (two if you're really hurting!). I was able to get these ingredients (pasta, sauce and garlic bread) for under $5 at Meijer this week.

Creamette Pasta - 5/$5 at Meijer this week (a family of four should be able to get by with 1 box)
You can choose from a variety, including spaghetti, shells, macaroni and bowties
TOTAL: $1

Prego Pasta Sauce 3/$5 (again, approximately 1 bottle for a family of four)
TOTAL: $1.67

Texas Toast Garlic Cheese 2/$4 (1 box for a family of four)
You may also purchase large loaves of french or italian bread from a gocery bakery for around $1-$1.50
TOTAL: $2

Altogether, this dinner will cost around $4.67!

That's around $1.20 per person.
