Get a Degree Online

I watched my mother struggle with trying to balance her family, a job and going back to school. She didn't want to go to college right out of high school so she found a job as an administrative assistant. The years went by and next thing you know, she had a family and a job to keep up while she's trying to get her Communicative Disorders Degree. Halfway through getting her degree, she decided to switch to online classes because she could work at her own pace, on her own time and she could school at home, so she was able to tend to us kids when needed.

My mother is very intelligent, but it's really difficult getting all of your work done when you already have so much other stuff on your plate to take care of. It's also difficult to find the time to study for tests and her grades reflected that. With online schooling, she was able to turn in work when she was ready. She also never had to take a test if she felt she wasn't ready for it... If she felt that she needed another day to study, she took it. Her grades improved greatly because of this freedom.

Time is always an issue when going to school. When she was going to classes instead of doing them online, she had to be there at a specific time. Her family and her work schedule had to change to fit with her school schedule. If we had a doctor's appointment at the same time as one of her classes she would have to cancel. If she normally worked 9-5, but had class from 9-12 one semester, well, she missed 3 hours of pay that day! If you have classes online, you can work when you have the time. If you don't have any free time to work until 9pm one night, that's okay. You can do your work when you can find the time and it won't interfere with your other priorities like family and your job.

When my mom was in school, she was having to shell out hundreds of dollars a month to childcare. When she started online schooling, that expense went away because she could stay home and watch us while schooling at the same time. She also got to do her schooling in her pajamas if she felt like it. Instead of going to school, school came to her.

If you have priorities and don't feel like you can fit school into them, don't think that all hope is lost. You can actually get your degree from home! Getting your degree with online classes allows you to work at your own pace, on your own time and you don't even have to leave your home. It's a great option for parents or those who still want to have a job so that they can provide for their family (or themselves).
This is a sponsored post however, all the points and views are my own.
