Back Pain? Your Bed May Be the Problem

I'm still pretty young but I've already developed some painful back problems, thanks to my rotten genes! I used to be able to ignore them but they've gotten progressively worse as I've aged and sometime last year, I decided I really couldn't take it anymore. As back problems run in the family, we have a lot of home-"remedies", as my family members like to call them. Exercise, certain diets, specific sleeping position, I tried it all. Unfortunately, I really didn't have any luck with any of these.

One day, I was so distraught that I was complaining to a friend of mine about my back pains and she asked me about my bed. What brand it was, how old it was, that kind of thing. Honestly... I didn't know much about my bed! My roomate had bought it for me years ago and I don't even know what store he got it from. After hearing this, she laughed at me and told me about her tempurpedic.

I didn't know before this conversation, but she also dealt with a lot of back problems throughout her life. Apparently, she had figured out a way to help her back feel better and healthier. She pointed out to me that we spend hours on end in our beds every single night! Because of this, we need something that's high quality, comfortable and good for our body. She told me a quality bed should conform to your natural shape and offer support for your back - Oh, that makes sense! I had never thought that my bed would make such a difference in the way my back felt but I realized she had made a great point. I do spend a lot of time in my bed so of course, it's going to affect the health of my body!

A tempurpedic bed is meant to be a dream bed for those with back problems, posture problems, sleeping issues and just overall comfort issues! I am totally grateful to my friend who pointed this out to me. It was one of those "duh" moments but I'm glad that I have the information not only as a help to myself and my back but so that I can pass it on to others. If you are dealing with back problems, consider a new bed. It may be the one thing that can help!
