When you're looking for a house in an unfamiliar city or state, it's easy to get lost and confused and you may end up in a neighborhood you don't really belong in! A realtor's job is to know the area, no matter where you are. They also tend to know a lot more about the neighborhoods that homes are in than a seller may be willing to tell you, such as disruptive neighbors. It's not an easy thing to deal with sellers and their partners. How unfortunate would it be to find a house that's just a little bit out of your price range and you not being able to talk the seller down a bit? Personally, I'm always a bit shy about haggling with people so a realtor that can do it for me is a great thing. They may save you 10s or even 100s of thousands on your new home.
When you're looking to buy a new home, you should really consider working with a realtor as they can make the process a whole lot easier. They know the area, the business and they can save you a lot of money. Don't let life in your new home start off the wrong way with a stressful journey!
